isMobile supports Notvikens women’s football association in Sweden to reach new heights with the help of AI

Statistics are important for football as a sport. AI makes it possible to collect and process large amounts of data to recognize patterns and trends in all conceivable game situations - for an entire team or a specific football player. isMobile believes in creative and talented young people who are passionate about their interests and wants to investigate how technology can be used to stimulate player and team development by supporting Notvikens IK women's football association in close cooperation.

We want to support young people and organizations with ambitions that enable creativity to grow and develop in a positive way, says Mikael Bäckman, CEO of isMobile. An interesting collaboration has been initiated between isMobile and Notvikens IK women's football association (Notvikens IK DFF), which is responsible for the development of young talents in Luleå and is about to take the step into elite football. Notvikens IK DFF will use an interesting camera and analysis technology for player and team development during training and matches based on artificial intelligence. A similar technology as isMobile uses to identify patterns in the field that significantly facilitate and speed up the field work in, for example, meter changes for electricity and water.

isMobile will support and follow Notvikens IK DFF's development and see how artificial intelligence can be used as a positive tool in the development work and education. Studies will be performed on recordings to test isMobile's knowledge and solutions in artificial intelligence for analysis of moving targets.

Emma Rierstam, a young talented player in the A-team of Notvikens IK DFF, who wholeheartedly develops her passion for football, will be the representative and front-figure in this collaboration. Emma and her team will be followed with analyzes and reports along the way. Notvikens IF DFF have had a very good start of the season, undefeated in all of their opening matches, going for gold!

Börje Löf, chairman of Notvikens IK DFF, looks forward to the collaboration and is convinced that there is great potential for development. Educating and developing young talent is important for football in Luleå, the region and Sweden. We believe that young great talents like Emma Rierstam with good education, good instructors and good development environments can be as good or better than imported players. NIK DFF welcomes isMobile's valuable IT knowledge, support and interest in talent development with modern technology as an aid. Yes, I am sure that it will contribute to an even greater development, concludes Börje Löf.

About Notvikens IK DFF

Notvikens IK is a football association founded in 1936. In 2018, Notvikens IK DFF was formed as a separate club for female football players.

Notvikens IK DFF consists of three teams, an A-team that plays in the highest amateur league (Division 1), a B-team that plays in the second highest amateur league (Division 2) and a youth team that plays in the Swedish Championship League for 17-year-olds. The B-team and the youth team are both development teams for the A-team.

The vision for Notvikens IK DFF is to create an elite team for women in Luleå by motivating and developing talented players at an elite level through a good environment, good training, skilled trained coaches and the use of modern technical aids. You should be able to watch good elite football in the Luleå region and stimulate the local football culture in a positive way.

The goal for 2020 is to win the highest amateur league with the A-team to move up to play elite football in the Swedish national Elitettan League.

The investment is mainly made in own players and young talent in the region. One of the main ideas is to develop young talents and prepare them to take the step into the A-team. Notvikens IK DFF is convinced that developing local players is a better and a more long-term strategy than creating an alien legion consisting of many foreign players.
